BOOKS:

  • The Dual City: Karachi During the Raj
    Author: Yasmeen Lari, Mihail S. Lari
    Publisher: Oxford University Press, Heritage Foundation

    This book is one of the foremost in research works conducted into Karachi's history. It is very detailed and is full of old pictures and illustrations. This book is a must read if you are an enthusiast or want to know more about Karachi's past.
     

  • Kurrachee - Past, Present and Future
    Author: Alexander F. Baillie

    One of the earliest comprehensive accounts, Baillie's book first published in 1890, gives an account of life as it used to be in early Karachi. A very interesting read which tells about life in another era, another country.
     

  • DAWN Group of Newspapers has a series of publications highlighting Karachi's past called the  RAJ LIBRARY COLLECTION.
